Huawei partners with Elenjical Solutions to drive digital financial services across Africa
Leading South African consultancy adds deep financial systems expertise to Huawei's growing cloud infrastructure network, helping to support the transformation to digital financial services across the continent.
Elenjical Solutions, the Johannesburg-based financial services technology consultancy, announces a strategic partnership with Huawei Cloud to enable cloud adoption and support digital growth for financial institutions across the broader African region.
The partnership combines Huawei Cloud’s expanding local infrastructure with Elenjical’s specialist experience in migrating, implementing and managing complex financial systems. Together, the two companies aim to remove critical barriers — such as compliance, cost and infrastructure complexity — that often hold institutions back from adopting cloud technology.
‘Powerful and practical solution’
“Financial institutions across Africa are under growing pressure to modernise, but infrastructure limitations, compliance complexity and operational risk make that journey challenging,” says Tinu Elenjical, Founder and CEO of Elenjical Solutions. “Our partnership with Huawei Cloud enables us to offer a powerful and practical solution — combining world-class infrastructure with specialist migration expertise. We’re not just moving systems to the cloud; we’re helping clients reimagine what’s possible with resilient, future-ready architecture that’s aligned with local realities and regulatory needs.”
Huawei Cloud has made significant investments to establish multiple cloud regions and edge locations across Africa, with a focus on supporting the broader region. This local footprint helps clients meet in-country data residency requirements and reduce latency — critical for institutions operating regulated and time-sensitive platforms.
Eliminating migration downtime
Through this partnership, Elenjical Solutions will handle the hands-on technical implementation for institutions migrating from on-premise systems to Huawei Cloud. This includes complex platforms such as trading engines, risk management systems and treasury applications. In other words systems that can’t afford downtime during migration.
“Our role is to make these transitions smooth, secure and fully compliant — especially when it comes to multi-tiered complex systems,” says Colyn van Zyl, Cloud Executive at Elenjical Solutions. “This partnership allows us to bring proven implementation expertise into a cloud environment tailored to African institutions. It’s about minimising risk while unlocking real digital progress.”
The partnership fits into Huawei Cloud’s wider strategy of building strong partner networks in growth markets. With 33 global regions, 93 availability zones, and more than $100 billion in R&D investment over the past decade, Huawei Cloud continues to expand its operations across Africa.
“Elenjical brings exactly the kind of sector expertise we need to grow and serve financial services clients across Africa,” says Steven Chen, Managing Director of Huawei Cloud South Africa “It understands these systems inside and out, and that knowledge — combined with our infrastructure — means clients can move forward with confidence.”
The partnership meets a growing need in the market: helping financial institutions across Africa modernise critical systems without adding complexity or risk. With infrastructure already in place and a clear track record in delivering large-scale implementations, Elenjical Solutions and Huawei Cloud are well placed to support the next phase of digital progress in the region
